How important are wedding photos and how important is it to hire a professional wedding photographer?

I am happy to answer this question as a professional wedding photographer, Giuseppe Salva, owner of Foto & Video Salva GmbH.

Planning a wedding is not easy; you have to think about many details and, above all, organize well so that nothing can go wrong on your most beautiful day.

After all the time and effort put into planning your wedding, it’s crucial that the special moments are captured by a professional wedding photographer. I have been accompanying wedding couples since my childhood. Foto Salva was founded in Basel in 1978 by my uncle and my father. I was born in 1982 and was already allowed to go to weddings with my parents at the age of 6.

For me, every wedding is a new challenge: every couple and every celebration is unique. My aim is to create something special and individual. My secret for dream wedding photos? I take as many photos as possible – I often bring home over 10,000 pictures.

Once the images have been sorted, the best photos are sorted again. This is where the second big step begins: the selected images need to be edited. Each photo is processed individually, and I love to bring out colors that are true to reality and tell your special day accurately. When the whole process is complete, I create a private gallery and upload all the edited images.

Customers are sent a link that gives them access to the images. In the gallery, you can download all the photos at once, but you have to register first. This gives you the opportunity to access your wonderful memories anytime and anywhere.

Today, Foto & Video Salva GmbH is an address for wedding photography. I work together with two other wedding photographers who, like me, are passionate professionals. We have completed the same training courses over the years and share the same vision of creating dream wedding photos.
