The costs for a wedding photographer vary depending on the scope of services, experience and region. At Foto & Video Salva GmbH, our wedding packages start from CHF 850 for the civil ceremony. A complete day package with photo reportage is between CHF 2,500 and CHF 4,000, depending on the scope. Combination packages with wedding video and photo box are available from CHF 6,900. How expensive is a wedding photographer in Switzerland?
In Switzerland, a professional wedding photographer usually charges between CHF 2,500 and CHF 5,000 for a whole day. The price depends on the number of hours, the team (one or two people), the scope of services (photos only or also video and photo box) and the photographer’s experience. It is important that the offer is clear and transparent and that there are no hidden additional costs.
Why is a wedding photographer so expensive?
There is much more to a professional wedding photo than just the shutter release. Preparation includes a personal consultation and planning the schedule. On the wedding day itself, there are often 10 to 12 hours of work, followed by the careful selection from several thousand shots, fine art image processing, the provision of a private online gallery and, if required, the printing of a high-quality wedding album. Insurance, professional equipment, licenses and ongoing training are also included. The price reflects real quality and reliability.
What is the daily rate for a photographer in Switzerland?
The daily rate for a professional photographer in Switzerland is between CHF 800 and CHF 3,000 per day, depending on specialization and experience. For wedding photographers, the daily rate often includes the entire post-processing, which alone can take several days.
